HPL is a nonprofit mutual benefit California corporation formed in 2003 in the public interest. HPL is dedicated to identifying, interpreting, and preserving the Folsom area’s historic sites and structures. Other goals include acting as the community’s voice in historic preservation matters; staying informed on preservation issues to be part of the city’s decision-making processes; ensuring that the city complies with historic preservation mandates on heritage issues; and following legislative action related to Folsom's heritage
The Heritage Preservation League of Folsom is a grassroots citizens group dedicated to identifying, interpreting and preserving the Folsom area's historic sites and structures
HPL's Goals:
- Identifying, preserving and interpreting Folsom's historic sites and structures
- Making the community aware of the need to protect Folsom's historic treasures
- Acting as the community's voice in historic preservation matters
- Staying informed on preservation issues to be part of the decision-making process from the beginning
- Ensuring the city of Folsom complies with the Historic Preservation Master Plan on heritage issues
- Keeping an eye on legislative action related to Folsom's heritage
